The Byrd Large Rescue 2 knife (BY17SBK2) offers excellent performance at an affordable price. The folding knife has an overall length of 8.313″ and weighs 3.75 oz.

The Rescue 2 has a sheepfoot blade measuring 3.938″ in length and 0.125″ in thickness. The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and has a serrated edge, making it ideal for easily and safely sliding under rope, seatbelts or clothing, whilst offering the highest cutting performance.

Equally important with the Rescue 2 is the ergonomic comfort, of which there is plenty! The fiberglass reinforced nylon handle is Bi-Directionally textured and features jimping above the comet shaped hole and along the finger choil. The knife has a four-way clip to allow any method of carrying.

The Large Rescue 2 has a back lock to keep the blade securely open; additionally the knife has a half-moon of steel removed from the locking lever to lessen the chance of gripping the knife enough to accidentally unlock the blade.
